What you’ll do
As Business Development Manager for Distribution, you will be responsible for maintaining and driving sales to achieve efficient and profitable sales of the company’s products to targeted levels, as well as developing new business within your area of responsibility. You will own the relationship with our Distribution partners, whilst assisting the team to optimise existing accounts and prospects, establishing strong relationships with existing and new partners. With a passion for Technology, you will become a product expert, sharing your expertise with the wider team.
As market leader, our success is built on long term relationships across both our retail and distribution partners. Candidates must have a proven track record of building strong customer relationships, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders.
How you’ll do it
- Work with Belkin’s distribution partners and with their Vendor Management team building relationships and understanding of every B2B and Retail sales channel
- Closely manage and optimise stock holding; strive to increase sales whilst minimising returns
- Be the go-to Expert for all enquiries and provide solutions when asked whilst building additional opportunities
- Within distribution and reseller partners, create incentive & engagement campaigns aimed at raising awareness of the Belkin brand, building engagement, and driving sales
- Spend time on the sales floor of distribution and reseller partners
- Review and analyse sales, returns and allowances, quotes, inventory management, forecasts, and any other account activities that will impact financial results for the account(s) and report findings to NAM / Head of Sales
- Analyse and understand industry market trends, competition, products, and pricing that may impact sales efforts and communicate this information to all sales management and other departments as necessary
- Collaborate with entire sales team including channel support and other team members to ensure best practices and information are shared to maximize results and achieve goals
- Travel to tradeshows and regular visits to customer sites required. Conduct and/or coordinate sales and training meetings.
- Understand, communicate, and uphold Belkin’s company values at all times.
What you’ll need
- Computer literate with a high degree of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to travel locally and international (when required).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record of establishing meaningful relationships
- An entrepreneurial mind-set that is passionate about building businesses and thrives within a fast-paced company environment
What you’ve done
Experience should include:
- Three plus years’ experience in a sales capacity or equivalent position.
- Proven track record of sales growth and/or prospecting
- Ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy is required
- Previous experience with Distribution is desired
