The team's mission is to serve customers and partners through the whole value chain journey - offering the right product portfolio, securing a fast onboarding, and smooth technical integration. Additionally, our team makes sure that our customers stay satisfied and ensures sustainable cooperation in the long run. We're looking for a Sales Development Representative to join the team. As the central pivotal point between our customers and our Senior Sales Managers, you will ensure the successful first interaction between opportunities and Mondu, enabling the journey for them to become raving brand evangelists!

We are always looking for great ways to capture the attention of our new customers and are actively strengthening our relationships with our potential community through meaningful interactions at every possible point of connection.
- With your excellent written and verbal communication skills, you will hunt for opportunities by reaching out to them through cold calls, LinkedIn SalesNavigator Messages, e-mails, and other most effective channels.
- In your first interactions with the customers, you will devote all of your energy to listening to their process and problems, to chisel out how Mondu will help them improve their customer journey in their webshop.
- You will carefully build a trusting relationship between Mondu and the merchant and skillfully hand over prospects to our Senior Sales Managers to fully present Mondu's product range and service to the customers.
You will be the first voice our customers will hear, and thus, you will be the gatekeeper for building the high potential, a lucrative return customer base that will catapult Mondu into the ranks of the preferred BNPL and Split Payments provider in the B2B scope for small and medium-sized businesses.
- You define yourself as a digital native, i.e., someone who easily adapts to new and complex systems sees non-obvious patterns, and can quickly detect simpler (and thus better) ways of doing business.
- You can fluently speak German at a business level and understand German in its various dialects and versions. We have customers in Germany and Austria - You will need to be able to communicate with both!
- The SDR role at Mondu is not a call center job. You are not a machine. Still, you will be on calls a lot. You should not shy away from picking up the phone and just going for it.
- Tools that help connect humans, such as LinkedIn and CRM systems, are known to you, and you have a keen interest in using them professionally.
- You genuinely want to be in sales. This role is the gateway to starting your sales journey, and we are happy to develop you further.
- Previous experience in e-commerce, a (growth-stage) startup or a SaaS company would be a huge benefit.
- Fluently speaking English will help you communicate with the rest of the company, and enable you to develop further into new roles.
- A keen interest in the payments scope and e-commerce will certainly boost your energy in this role.
Berkay Yüzgülec joined Mondu in February 2022 as a Senior Enterprise Sales Manager and is now leading our Sales Development Representatives team. He has previous consulting and sales leadership experience. Before Mondu, he gained B2B BNPL experience at Billie. You will report directly to Berkay, ensuring your work gets visibility and attention. Equally, you will work very closely with the Senior Sales Managers.
Berkay reports directly to our DACH Sales Director, Katrin Becker, who joined Mondu in October 2022. She brings extensive experience in both B2B and B2C sales to the table, in addition to her long and successful experience as a rally co-pilot.
