For our location in Heidelberg we are looking for a co-worker "Plastics Laboratory Quality Specialist (m/f/d)" as soon as possible. Your responsibilities

• Proposing and selecting plastic materials during the development of new products
• Approval of plastic materials and the corresponding suppliers including expert auditor
• Analysis and evaluation of plastic materials in the context of release, optimization or failure analysis
• Accompanying during D-/P-FMEAs
• Ensuring the conformity of the applied materials according to the relevant regulations such as RoHS, REACH, etc. during the product life cycle
• Market analysis of potential alternative plastic materials
• Management and further development of the testing systems in the plastics laboratory
• Ensuring the relevant safety requirements in the plastics laboratory are in place
• Interdepartmental support towards purchasing, R&D, industrial engineering, quality, production, product management and standards committees department
• Detailed quality acceptance of production and testing equipment

Your background

• Successful (technical) university studies in the field of plastics technology
• Knowledge and experience in the processing and application of polyamides and common plastic materials in electrical engineering
• Knowledge of technical relevant standards such as IEC 60947, IEC 60898, UL489, UL94, etc.
• Professional experience in plastics analysis methods such as FT-IR, DSC, glow wire, etc.
• Knowledge in mold design as well as mold flow analysis
• Very good written and spoken German and English
• Strong sense of responsibility, quality and cost awareness
• Analytical vision, a methodical working style and willingness to travel on business trips
