The Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE in Freiburg is the largest solar research institute in Europe. Would you like to play an active role in helping to bring about the energy transition and gain practical experience during your studies?
In our team "Laboratory operations" in the "Photovoltaics" department, we examine PV modules and their components for their long-term stability and reliability. To this end, we carry out various accelerated ageing tests on PV modules and investigate the effects of stress on their functionality. Our test laboratory carries out a wide range of technical and technical activities. Most of the work involves handling PV modules. This job advertisement is therefore primarily aimed at students who are looking for more practical fields of activity as a change from everyday lectures.
We are looking for a student assistant for our "TestLab PV Modules" team as soon as possible.
What you will do
- You create images and electroluminescence images of PV modules.
- You support further characterization measurements and tests on PV modules.
- You provide support in the logistics area.
- Most of your tasks will be carried out on large PV modules. This includes unpacking and packing the modules, placing them on transport trolleys or positioning them in the test stands for testing.
What you bring to the table
- You are studying in the first semesters (at least 2 semesters before starting your thesis).
- You plan and complete tasks independently and with high quality.
- It is important to you to get involved in your team and to work together to achieve common goals.
- You have a good level of German and have already successfully demonstrated your good knowledge of English.
