What part will you play?
- As the head of a global development organization, you will have disciplinary and technical responsibility for approximately 100 employees, concentrating on the areas of system development, information and power electronics, mechanical design and project work.
- Together with your team, you will be responsible for developing innovative power electronic platforms for converters/drives in all types of industrial applications and making them ready for production. Furthermore, this also includes the development and implementation of customer-specific solutions based on standard components.
- You will lead the assigned teams at the site professionally and disciplinarily and ensure the qualification of the employees through continuous competence management and the promotion of further training.
- We cooperate intensively with the neighboring development units and work reliably with our internal and external cooperation partners on a global level.
- In your role, you will define the necessary equipment and infrastructure in the laboratory and be responsible for procurement, implementation, and maintenance in terms of timeframes and budget.
- You ensure that important organizational changes are successfully implemented and support project work.
What you need to make real what matters.
- University degree (diploma / master's degree) in electrical engineering or a comparable technical or scientific course of study
- You have many years of leadership experience in multinational teams and in the transformation of processes and organizations, including the management of salaried executives.
- You have a very good orientation in the entire R&D environment. In addition to HW development: system development, simulation, functional test and type testing as well as structured defective part analysis of power electronic systems.
- You have already gained experience in power electronics and the development of power converters and DC converters, as well as their applications.
- You are very familiar with PLM development processes in an agile environment and lean management techniques.
- Experience in corporate strategies, with a special focus on laboratory infrastructures for commissioning and testing of power electronic components.
- You have very good analytical thinking skills, good communication and networking skills. Furthermore, you have the ability to inspire and excite teams.
- Business fluent English skills, as well as a basic willingness to travel and dealing with other cultures round off your profile.
