Your Tasks

At Beiersdorf, we are committed to enabling digital transformation across our organization. Our Decision & Artificial Intelligence team is a trusted partner to all business functions, implementing data-driven solutions to gain advanced consumer insights and both automate and optimize business processes. We are looking for a passionate “Manager Decision & Artificial Intelligence” to lead our team and drive our AI initiatives forward.

Our cross-functional team consists of experts in the fields of data engineering, data science, machine learning engineering and cloud engineering. As a team we own Beiersdorf’s technology platforms for AI, Data Science and decision intelligence. The software solutions we implement range from promotion campaign optimization over lab digitalization to decision automation in supply chain. We are part of Beiersdorf’s AI & Automation organization.

Your Tasks

Lead the development and implementation of AI initiatives across the organization ensuring alignment with Beiersdorf’s overall digital transformation strategy.
Work closely with our internal partners and stakeholders, including the teams for process automation, application development, data, other IT units and digital business teams, to align strategies, objectives and resources.
Further develop our Data Science ecosystem across the entire Beiersdorf organization.
Manage our Decision & Artificial Intelligence team, including the development of team members, assessing performance and ensuring the team is equipped with the necessary skills and resources to succeed.
Manage resources, including staffing of people to projects and project budgets, to ensure successful delivery in time and budget.

Your Profile

Master's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science or a quantitative field. PhD is a plus
5+ years of experience in building Data Science or AI solutions, with a proven track record of success
Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing projects from start to finish
Expertise and significant work experience in at least two of the following fields
- Data Science: mathematical modelling, mathematical optimization, advanced statistics, artificial intelligence or decision intelligence
- Machine Learning: ML principles, software development, systems architecture and cloud technologies
- Data Engineering: data modelling, data warehousing, data platform architecture and cloud technologies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Written and spoken English. German is a plus
