The Senior Test Engineer conducts system tests for both standard and custom hardware and software systems. This role involves developing new test cases, evaluating the test equipment necessary for quality checks, and mentoring other members of the testing team. Additionally, the Senior Test Engineer may assist in the construction of test fixtures.
Assist in establishing and reviewing system and software specifications.
Prepare and plan test activities, including the analysis, development, and documentation of test cases and scenarios.
Perform tests and document the results.
Report test results and document test procedures.
Define the requirements for existing and future software systems in terms of software tests and test automation.
Validate configurations and customer fittings of our products for various aircraft types.
Maintain and develop production and testing tools as part of our aeronautical hardware platform.
Assist in the design and implementation of methods and procedures for testing and inspecting the quality level of products and equipment.
Recommend corrective actions for procedural, product, or process deficiencies.
Continuously contribute to the improvement of established testing processes.
Successfully completed studies in Computer Science or a comparable field.
Over 10 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong working knowledge of GNU/Linux.
Exceptional skills in test planning, test design, test development, and test automation.
Experience in testing embedded systems.
Proficient in test process optimization and the selection of test methods.
IP networking skills, including routing, switching, firewalls, and network services (e.g., tcpdump/Wireshark).
Experience in aviation and familiarity with aviation standards such as DO-178.
Knowledge of various Linux tools, such as Make, Git, and Jenkins.
Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python and Bash, is advantageous.
The position is on-site at our customer's location in Bavaria, near Munich. You will be part of our team based in Berlin, which will require traveling to Berlin once a month.
