Who We Are HII-Mission Technologies seeks a highly qualified Medical Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) Program Analyst to support the United States Air Forces Europe - Air Forces Africa (USAFE-AFAFRICA). This position shall provide medical expertise regarding Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) and Bioenvironmental hazards to better align USAFE-AFAFRICA policies and procedures with health best practices and risk mitigation criteria. The selected candidate will perform and manage occupational and environmental health-related activities including anticipating, recognizing, evaluating, and controlling exposure(s) to chemical, biological, and radiological hazards in garrison and deployed settings and performing associated health risk assessments with CBRNE hazards. The Medical CBRN Program Analyst will play a pivotal role in Huntington Ingalls Industries' commitment to strengthening the medical preparedness and response capabilities of the U.S. Air Force in Europe, ultimately contributing to the defense and security of the region.
This position is contingent upon funding and hiring actions may be delayed. What You Will Do - Conduct comprehensive assessments of medical CBRN threats and vulnerabilities within the European theater, with a specific focus on USAFE-AFAFRICA operations. Analyze intelligence data, emerging threats, and medical impact assessments to provide timely threat assessments.
- Develop, manage, and oversee medical CBRN defense programs that integrate Air Force Emergency Management and Bioenvironmental Engineering practices. This includes resource allocation, budgeting, and effective program implementation.
- Develop and maintain disaster and emergency planning and management plans, policies, and procedures, and provides advice and recommendations on all aspects of emergency planning and management at both the tactical and strategic levels.
- Work closely with Air Force Bioenvironmental Engineers to ensure that CBRN defense programs incorporate medical readiness and response elements. Collaborate on the design and execution of medical response drills and exercises.
- Stay current with U.S. defense regulations, Air Force policies, and international standards related to medical CBRN defense. Ensure all programs and activities are compliant with these regulations and secure necessary approvals.
- Design and coordinate medical CBRN training programs for Air Force personnel within the European context. Develop training materials, conduct exercises, and evaluate the readiness levels of medical personnel to enhance medical response capabilities.
- Provide expert health risk communication to support USAFE/AFAFRICA MAJCOM and subordinate commander's decision making and to prevent short and long term health effects to all personnel residing and/or working on the installation.
What We Are Looking For - 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
- Must be a graduate of the U.S. Air Force 4B071 (7-Level - "Craftsman"), 3E971 (7-Level - "Craftsman") or 4XX military training course.
