A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Sustainability Manager in a central function, can be quite diverse. As your target is to build a better understanding of our product´s environmental footprint, your daily tasks involve working closely with our LCA expert community to enhance knowledge, and leverage this information to improve our product portfolio in collaboration with the product management team. Additionally, you will engage in research collaboration with industry partners and research institutions to find innovative solutions to various sustainability challenges and enhance the sustainability of our products and services.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Defining and developing a sustainable portfolio strategy for Grid Technologies, considering environmental, social, and economic aspects
- Leading the harmonization of lifecycle assessments across GT products and solutions to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability considerations into product development and supply chain processes
- Identifying and prioritizing opportunities for sustainable innovation and product improvement
- Establishing and maintaining partnerships with stakeholders to drive sustainability initiatives and standards (IEC, CIGRE)
- Monitoring and reporting on sustainability performance metrics, including carbon footprint, resource efficiency, and social impact
What You Bring
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in sustainability, environmental management, engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in sustainability management, product lifecycle assessment, and portfolio development.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations, standards, and best practices
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and inspire change towards sustainable practices
- Excellent communication and partner engagement skills
- Experience in supply chain sustainability and stakeholder management is a plus
