Position: Research Technician
Department: Translational Pediatric Sarcoma Research, Computational Genomics and Systems Genetics, and Regulatory Genomics and Cancer Evolution
Code number: 2024-0160
The German Cancer Research Center is the largest biomedical research institution in Germany. With more than 3,000 employees, we operate an extensive scientific program in the field of cancer research.
We are seeking a research technician for a position in the field of cutting-edge method development for cancer research. The position will be shared in frame of a collaboration among the following groups:
The Division of Translational Pediatric Sarcoma Research conducts intensive research into the development of sarcomas, with the long-term goal of developing new treatment options for affected children.
The Division of Regulatory Genomics and Cancer Evolution investigates the influence of genetic information on the DNA regulation of the cell and thus on the development of the cancer genome.
The Division of Computational Genomics and Systems Genetics investigates mechanisms by which genetic factors and environmental influences affect molecular phenotypes in tissues and in individual cells in order to decipher relationships between genomic variation and phenotypes.
The position will be mainly supervised by the Division of Translational Pediatric Sarcoma Research (headed by Prof. Dr. Dr. Thomas Grünewald).
