Your role
As Software Developer BMS you work on the development of a system which is controlling the high voltage batteries in multiple different customer vehicles. Your work is focused on the embedded software for our battery management systems.
- Develop safety application to ensure the functional safety concept of the HV battery
- Develop applications like State of Charge, State of Health monitoring
- Develop base software solutions like real time cell monitoring, secure communication or power management
- Develop secure bootloader solutions
- Integrate the software modules considering theirs real time capability and resources management.
- Work on the low level drivers and bring up new MCU/ECU architectures
- Ensure the software development is in compliance with the necessary automotive safety standards
- Integrate the software builds, deployment and testing in our CI/CD tool landscape
- Support the bring-up of different customer batteries and vehicles
- Successfully completed university degree in an engineering field (software, electronics, mechanical), math or applied physics
- Experience or knowledge in the field of HV batteries, cell monitoring, battery storage systems is a plus
- Ideally more than 3 years of working experience in software engineering (in C++)
- Ideally knowledge of different communication busses (CAN, LIN, SPI, ISOSPI) and protocols/standards (e.g. J1939, Odx)
- Experience with working with automotive norms like ISO26262, ASPICE, ISO21434
- Knowledge in the field of microcontrollers and applicable tools (AURIX Tricore, TI Hercules, NXP S32)
- Creativity, curiosity and enthusiasm for innovative electronics solutions for electric vehicles
- Preference for working in teams and strong communication skills (English)
- Willingness to work onsite for the onboarding phase (~ 4 weeks)
- Being in the office minimum once per year
