The Mercedes-Benz plant in Berlin is the oldest producing plant in the field of conventional engine technology. The transformation of the Berlin site is a symbol of change in the automotive industry. Electrification and digitalization are the core pillars of our corporate strategy. By developing Berlin into a center of excellence for digitization and allocating production volumes in the area of e-mobility, we can successfully secure the future of our traditional Berlin location.

The Operating Equipment Planning department is responsible for the design of operating equipment for the production of our latest generation of electric motors. The equipment must enable high-quality, ergonomic and economical production.

This environment offers a unique opportunity for prospective design engineers to work on an exciting future project at an early stage, to exploit their full potential and to prepare themselves for the challenges of the future. In this creative work environment, individual skills can be developed and expanded, supported by the joint development of solutions.

These are some of the challenges you will face:

Independent design of customized fixtures for the production of axial flow motors in Siemens NX
Assignment of the designed components for production
Testing of new designed equipment in the production environment
Integration of fixtures and spare parts into the digital life cycle file
Assistance in the preparation of project status reports
Contact with various suppliers and coordination of documentation

Qualifications

Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automation technology, production engineering or a comparable degree program
Experience with design in Siemens NX
Confident knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
Confident handling of MS-Office
Commitment and ability to work in a team
Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
