- Ability to work 40 hours/week. Must be able to work 10 hour shifts as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch
- Work at heights from ladders
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds unassisted; and participate in group lists for 41 pounds or more
- Must be able to lift loads of up to 40 pounds and carry them for short distances
- Continuously climb and descend stairs safely (applies to sites with stairs)
- Reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance
- Push or pull heavy objects into position
- Daily travel between sites may be required
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Decom Universal Technician to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team as part of our Work Based Learning Program (WBLP).
As a trainee, you will participate in our 3 months' work and training program. This position will help ensure overall availability and reliability for our customers within our Data Centers in Frankfurt.
Responsibilities:
- Installing new rack equipment
- Decommissioning existing racks
- Repairing and diagnosing broken servers
- Handling computer equipment and parts
- Managing network hear during installation, decommissioning, and repair
All candidates should be willing to work both independently and with a team. Work prioritization,
organization skills, effective communication, and the ability to react quickly are critical to being
successful.
