located in Hamburg with a possible start date of August 2024 or later.
This full-time role is split between two people (Airbus "job-sharing" model) and is therefore available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.
In this position you will be a member of the A350 Cabin Retrofit Solutions Team .
As a Cabin Retrofit Solutions Engineer (d/f/m) you bring added value to our customers’ A350 fleet. You are responsible for the definition and integration of retrofit design solutions for A350 aircraft post-delivery. Your main focus is on the cabin modifications including associated mechanical and electrical interfaces and adaptation of related cabin systems.
Our objective is to provide an end-to-end service to our customers, starting from their requests to retrofitting on site. Each retrofit project is unique and can range from a small color change to a complete cabin retrofit.

Your tasks and responsibilities
You coordinate all design activities in terms of cost, time and quality
You participate in technical meetings with internal and external stakeholders
You manage and validate internal and external engineering work packages
You will be in charge of analyze PRE and POST status of the aircraft relevant to the applicable ATA chapters
You check and release design drawings (if necessary delegations are available)
You prepare and follow-up of all relevant certification documents e.g. TRS, MAS, ICS and supporting documents
You provide engineering data to Service Bulletin-Production, supply chain and other involved internal customers
You support airworthiness activities and Safety Management System
You provide embodiment support remote / on-site (worldwide)
Desired skills and qualifications
Educated to a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or state-certified technician
Several years of professional experience in engineering, ideally in the A350 program
Experience in technical project management
Deep understanding in handling typical A350 design tools, such as CATIA V5, VPM, APS, Pass V2
An existing delegation of Technical Approval Officers/Permit Holders in a relevant ATA chapter is an advantage
