Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Orangewood Labs, is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. You will be a key player in the design, development, and assembly of our state-of-the-art robotic systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance and integration with our advanced AI, Control Systems, and ROS 1 integration technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and optimize mechanical components for our 6-Axis Robotic Arm product line, including joint and link designs, material selection, and CAD modeling.
2. Collaborate with the Electrical and Control Systems teams to ensure seamless integration of components and sub-systems.
3. Participate in the full product lifecycle, from concept and design, through prototyping and testing, to production and support.
4. Conduct kinematic and dynamic analysis of robotic systems.
5. Create and maintain design documentation, including detailed CAD drawings and specifications.
6. Support the assembly process, providing clear instructions and troubleshooting as needed.
7. Participate in System Integration and Testing to ensure the mechanical system's reliability and performance.
8. Assist in troubleshooting and maintenance activities, contributing to the identification and resolution of mechanical issues.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2. Demonstrable experience in designing mechanical systems, preferably in the robotics industry.
3. Proficiency in CAD software for designing and modeling mechanical components.
4. Knowledge of material properties and selection for robotics applications.
5. Familiarity with robotic kinematics and dynamics.
6. Experience in conducting analytical and experimental tests.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Nice to Have:
1. Knowledge of ROS 1, C++, or AI technologies is a plus.
2. Experience with 6-Axis Robotic Arms or similar systems.
