RNA Biology
Full-time and temporary (9 months)
Your key responsibilities
- Learn technologies present at the RNA biology team and help to continuously improve and develop the technologies for their use in customer projects
- Produce and purify RNA of interest by means of IVT and chromatographic techniques for their use in biophysical and cellular assays
- Perform site-specific RNA labeling to detect RNA-protein & RNA-ligand interaction
- Characterize changes in RNA structure in response to ligand binding
- Provide and communicate high-quality data on time and document results as requested by Evotec and our external collaborators
- Establish the research area within the department
- The position comprises at least 50-80% of the time working at the bench
Your qualifications
- Currently in the final phase of your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Interest to gain some practical experience in the labs of Evotec for at least 3 months
- Initial knowledge of biophysical, biochemical, or molecular biology techniques applied to study RNA
- Team player, collaborative, helpful, and reliable
- Excellent command of the English language; German is a plus
