Established in 1973, the FIA WORLD RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP (WRC) is widely regarded as the most challenging motorsport championship in the world. In 2023, the roads on this epic motorsport adventure are spread across 13 rallies on everything from snow packed forest tracks to rock-strewn mountain passes. The WRC Promoter GmbH is responsible for all commercial aspects of the WRC since 2013. Across its portfolio of championships, in 2024 and beyond WRC Promoter will be responsible for over 30 major motorsport events per year, spread throughout the world, and involving a large number of automotive, broadcast and commercial stakeholders.
All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:
CONTRACT AND DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT
- Advising and structuring international legal documents in collaboration with legal colleagues and General Management
- Drafting and negotiation of various types of legal contracts in English language (e.g. sponsorship, supplier, race specific and licensing agreements) with a focus on sponsorship, intellectual property, commercial rights, media and sports rights
- Support business on all legal queries, including coordination of external legal support by law firms
- Support in evaluating and appraising legal issues and risks pertaining to international sport, sponsorship and media law
PROCESSMANAGEMENT
- Managing signature process and contract administration
- Support finance documentation according to company guidelines
- Support contract administration
- Legal University Degree (e.g. 2nd Staatsexamen)
- At least 4 years business experience with an international legal department (inhouse) with expertise in particular in German law, commercial law, licensing, copyright law and HR/labour law
- Sound judgement and profound negotiation skills
- Fluent business English, written and spoken (additional languages are a plus)
- Structured, self-organised and detailed mode of practice
- Proven MS Office capabilities
- Teamplayer with strong communication abilities, firm responsibility mindset and hands-on plus can-do solution oriented attitude
