You are a talented and passionate scientist who likes to take on new challenges and responsibilities, and enjoys being part of a multidisciplinary team.

Your project will focus on thyroid cancer and the effect of thyroid hormones on tumour progression and involves in vivo studies on animal models, iPSC technology, molecular and immunbiology with direct translational significance.

The project will be performed in the highly stimulating environment of the SFB/TR 296 focusing on local control of thyroid hormone action in health and disease within the University Alliance Ruhr.

• PhD degree in life sciences or biomedical sciences (e.g. biology, (bio)chemistry, animal sciences, physiology, immunology)
• Willingnes to work with animal models
• Experience in molecular methods (DNA, RNA, protein isolation and analysis; biochemical assays, flow cytometry, ELISA, immunohistochemistry)
• Experience with cell culture sterile technique
• Experience in tissue preparation and analysis (e.g. RNA-sequencing) is a plus
• Flexible and team oriented way of working
• Organizational abilities; able to work independently and follow through on assignment
• Able to organize and present results
• Excellent command of English in both, oral and written form are a prerequisite
