KNIME is growing rapidly and we’re seeking smart, motivated, and creative people up for the challenge of helping us achieve ambitious scaling goals while continuing to empower the active community. Right now, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team at KNIME in Berlin or Konstanz.*

Who you are

You have solid experience in building large Java Applications with Maven and Jenkins. You enjoy understanding complex systems and how to improve them. You have good problem-solving skills: when others give up and are confused, when they don't understand the output of a build tool, you'll find a way to make it work. You like collaborating with developers, supporting them when they face issues, understanding their needs and educating them on best practices.

You embrace learning about new technologies and solving problems with automation. Knowledge of (some of) the following technologies is a bonus:

Eclipse RCP / OSGI / Tycho
IAC tools: Ansible, Terraform, or similar
AWS, or other Cloud Vendors
Docker, scripting languages like Python, Bash

Working in English is comfortable for you. Most importantly, you are keen on developing yourself and contributing to the growth of our team and technology.

That's the job

The primary focus of this DevOps Engineer role at KNIME is to support the building of our KNIME Analytics Platform, in close collaboration with our developers. You will help us ensure the consistent state of our CI artifacts, which allows us to release KNIME Analytics Platform on time and with high quality. You will troubleshoot failing builds, assist developers with upgrading dependencies, and refactoring test and build pipelines.
In addition to this focus area, you will help us run Jenkins and other components of our build system, extending them where required. For all of this, you will be collaborating with a passionate team, tackling diverse tasks and continually learning new technologies.
