What we do
We are a global software and professional services company for the financial industry, with offices in the UK, USA, Germany, Brazil, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Bangladesh. We specialize in working with investment banks to automate the issuance process for structured products. For layman, a structured product is a financial investment (not unlike a savings account) where the return to the investor depends on the performance of an underlying asset (e.g., a stock or an index). While structured products tend to offer a higher return than a savings account, they also tend to come with a higher risk. Therefore, the issuance (i.e., the creation) of a structured product and its offering to investors is highly regulated.

We offer banks automation solutions to make that issuance process simpler. The core of our automation solution is a document automation tool that facilitates the creation of fact sheets, term sheets and similar documents which describe the products. We are looking to hire developers and financial experts to work with this core automation solution.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a proficient Senior Level Data Analyst with a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of database management and the Structured Products market. The ideal candidate will be adept at using SQL and pattern matching to capture, extract, transform, and load investment product data, ensuring its accuracy and consistency. The position is client-facing and requires strong internal collaboration with various teams to support a dedicated client in our data operations division.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and objectives related to structured products for a dedicated client to ensure seamless integration of data across systems and platforms.
• Develop and maintain efficient data acquisition workflows for managing Structured Products-related data.
• Utilize SQL to extract vital information from extensive datasets.
• Apply pattern matching techniques, including regular expressions, for precise data extraction.
• Conduct data validation and quality assurance checks.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues related to data projects.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation on data sources, transformation processes, and dictionaries as well as client-specific rulesets.
• Stay informed about market trends and best practices within the structured products sector and the clients’ product portfolio in particular.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a small team of Data Analysts
Have effective workforce planning to ensure optimized use of the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Economics or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
• Solid skills in data capturing with pattern matching and regular expressions (RegEx).
• Fluent in English and German; additional languages are beneficial.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities as well as meticulous attention to detail.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with financial concepts and investment products is preferred.
Strong leadership skills with ideally previous experience managing a team.
