Drive transparency and financial mindset to proactively support commercial and purposeful business decision making through financial analysis as well as planning and reporting processes. Working closely with multiple departments to coordinate and monitor planning processes, target setting as well as budget and forecast. Manage projects to drive market profitability and efficient use of financial resources as well as ensuring effective internal controls.
Key Accountabilities
Functional:
- Develop and monitor KPIs for ad hoc, short- and long-term planning and bring responsibility into the commercial decision making process.
- Manage and maintain integrity of dynamic planning processes (forecast, budget, IBP, SBP) and the monthly closing along with adidas Group processes & targets.
- Create transparency about business performance by analyzing and comparing data from different sources of information.
- Identify key issues & opportunities, draw conclusions and provide a choice of creative recommendations and solutions.
- Establish a valued business partnership due to objective and holistic controlling support.
- Provide senior management (Central SLT and Zone Central Sales and Brand leads) with correct, timely and in-depth financial analysis or other ad hoc reporting.
- Provide financial guidance and influence to business partners to assist in making business decisions and achieve sustainable growth, profitability and targets.
- Develop and implement creative process improvements and best known practices while simplifying current financial management processes & analytical tools with dedicated focus on cross-functional efficiency especially for Sales and Margin planning.
- Lead or participate in cross functional projects as required.
- Assume back up roles to cover colleagues (esp Director FP&A Zone Central) for in advance assigned tasks.
Personnel:
- Manage the teammate in according to internal HR processes.
- Delegate duties & responsibilities as appropriate.
- Evaluate the competencies of the subordinates on a regular basis with regard to performance and potential.
- Assume a coaching role with dedicated support on individual development for the subordinates and on overall dynamics in the department.

- Dimensions: Gross Sales, Sales Deductions by bucket, Net Invoiced Sales, Net Sales,
Go-in margin including royalties, Standard Margins, ASP, Orderbook
management, CoS Variances
- Tasks: Monthly IBP management, Planning & Simulation & Tracking of
Sales Deductions, short- and mid-term margin simulations based on
orderbook development, CoS Variances planning and steering,
Internal Controls (returns, credit notes, cancellations etc), Weekly SOP
Meeting
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated analytical and financial modeling skills, comfort with Finance and Accounting principles and strong financial statement analysis ability.
- Demonstrated managerial ability.
- High degree of customer orientation.
- Independent handling of a variety of tasks with different levels of complexity by developing effective plans and organizing work efficiently.
- Acting in a goal-oriented manner, prioritize and complete tasks in order of importance.
- Thinking beyond the obvious and do not stop at the first answers.
- Ability to navigate in complex and international environments to influence and enable key business partners.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken), German language a plus
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications
- University degree (Dipl./Master) in business administration with focus on Finance/Controlling
- Functional: 5-7 years working experience in the respective area
- 1-2 years direct management of a team
