Business Support in Bremerhaven bei Maersk

Key responsibilities:

• Operational support of our Inland Operation Teams

• Monitor, improve and develop existing processes within the day-to-day business

• Technical process instructions to the Inland Operation

• Assist Business Implementation colleagues in winning new opportunities threw frontline level collaboration

• Connect with and between several internal and external stakeholders to enable the best customer satisfaction to be achieved

• Work close with not only the inland operation department but also with functions like product and procurement to gain a deeper understanding of the Inland Network and the cost & rate structure in general

• Rate management for processing in a general overview and upload into the transport management system

• Act hand in hand with the above-mentioned functions and also show a great partnership with our Inland Implementation team to enable smooth business implementations

• Being the entry point for our partners to coordinate finance & payment related requests with our finance department

• Creation of different statistics and overviews

What we are looking for:

• A team player who is dedicated, flexible and open for challenges, especially within the Maersk structure

• Bachelor’s degree and/or at least two to four years of experience in the transportation/shipping industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Strong understanding of the transportation industry

• Excellent and open communication skills to people at all levels of an organization and stakeholders

• Organizational and time management skills – multi-tasking and prioritizing, planning work activities efficiently to meet deadlines and high-level goals

• Conflict resolution and negotiation – bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences

• Drive for results/success – deliver under pressure, conveys a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure, persist despite obstacles and opposition

• Team player – works together with others in the business unit to achieve results, fosters teamwork

• Represent the group in internal and external meetings

• Good language skills – German and English required

• Working knowledge of MS office (Outlook, Word, Excel) products and ability to quickly adapt to software

• A fundamental knowledge into the German hinterland structure across different transport modes

• Self-organized mindset with the ability to strictly set and respect necessary deadlines

• experience in the transportation / logistics industry

• Deep communication skills with internal and external stakeholders and the ability to build up a fundamental network
