Role Purpose
As the Department Lead // Sub Chapter Lead (f/m/d) Pre-Analytics New Portfolio, you will be a member of the Leadership Team of the Instrumentation Development chapter which is part of the Core Lab Development Network of Diagnostics Solutions Research & Development.
In this position, you will be the key point of contact for Roche Diagnostics’ capabilities for Roche Diagnostics next generation of Pre-Analytic systems. You will evolve the Sub Chapter’s overarching expertise based on current and upcoming needs to deliver on network priorities (e.g. upcoming portfolio investments with new technology skills needed).
You will be responsible to excel in developing the capabilities of Instrumentation Development specialized in Pre-Analytics, including the skills in directing and coordinating the development of all aspects of system development (hardware and software), ensuring the technical integrity of project deliverable including compliance to applicable standards, and providing the single point of accountability for product development activities to the Core Lab Customer Area for their given project. As a line manager of Sub Chapter members, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing Sub Chapter members’ personal professional journey, coaching your direct reports and liaising with the other Sub-Chapters Leads. Furthermore, you will have the responsibility to maintain and improve all assets associated with the Sub Chapter, such as IP, product standards & processes, infrastructure & tools, etc.
You will be responsible to:
Ensure that Roche Diagnostics’ capabilities in Pre-Analytics system development thrive.
Leverage a consolidated view of the Sub Chapter’s capabilities to represent the most senior level of specialized expertise in Pre-Analytics for Diagnostics towards Business and other Functions.
Define the short and long term capability needs for the Sub Chapter to deliver on the Function’s and Network’s strategy, and execute on it, ultimately advancing the Function’s expertise and helping our Customer Areas and business teams to achieve their business objectives.
Establish and further develop best practices and thought leadership for all aspects pertaining to development leadership; exemplify the principle of proactive and continuous improvement.
Maintain and develop all assets and partnerships related to pre-analytics system development that are owned by Roche Diagnostics.
Maintain all necessary measures for achieving a full right to operate status within the Sub Chapter, nurture an engrained quality culture and ensure safety and environmental aspects are considered in the operations.
Be an active coach and mentor to members of the Sub Chapter to help them grow and progress in their career.
Nurture and develop an empowered, knowledgeable, effective and efficient group of subject matter experts within the Sub Chapter with the capabilities to support Roche Diagnostics’ efforts with best-in-class expertise.
Ensure that personal professional development is a priority in assignments of Sub Chapter members and spread awareness for this.
Design and promote personal professional journey paths within the Sub Chapter, enabling the fluidity of resources intended by our New Ways of Working.
