What you’ll do

You'll be responsible for software integration and validation testing in an agile, pan-European development process
You'll perform functional device testing for Sky Germany's most advanced set-top box generation, as well as for Sky applications on smartphones and tablets, in cross-team coordination with Sky colleagues in the UK and Italy
In addition, you'll develop and optimize test cases and test automation scripts already during the concept phase, based on product specifications and technical requirements
The creation of necessary test configurations and the evaluation in which environment and in which way these requirements are to be tested most efficiently are also part of your daily business
You're directly involved in cross-team coordination of various test areas, such as end-to-end, UAT (user acceptance test), interoperability or test automation and develop and operate the vital test tools and test infrastructure
You document your test results with care and accuracy and reconcile them across countries and in direct communication with the software development and other test teams

What you’ll bring

You've successfully completed a degree in a technical field – ideally in computer science or you have a comparable education
You've at least 5-6 years of experience in the area of software testing and have profound technical knowledge of common digital video broadcast (DVB) and broadband applications, such as video-on-demand applications
You've experience in Python scripting or other common programming and scripting languages, as well as knowledge of common methods and approaches in testing and quality assurance (e.g. ISTQB, SCRUM, Continuous Integration)
Ideally, you've practical experience in using common programs for crafting and performing tests, as well as software bug tracking tools (ALM, Atlassian JIRA/ Confluence, TestRail)
You show a high level of initiative, like to take on responsibility and count a strong analytical grasp as well as the ability to combine technical and economic efficiency thinking among your characteristics
A good command of written and spoken English rounds off your profile
