AAD Perception Engineer - Radar Expert in München bei JLR

Our Assisted and Automated Driving Development (AAD) team in Munich, that develops various software modules and new technologies to enhance the driving experience whilst working towards the goal of autonomous driving, is currently seeking a:

AAD Perception Engineer - Radar Expert (m/f/d).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• 
  Support the ADAS/AD team with your profound knowledge of pros and cons of the Radar/ RSP approaches, especially in comparison to other sensor techniques.
• Radar subsystem requirements writing and managing.
• Support in development of Radar request for quotation.
• Cooperation with several partners in order to achieve the best integration of Radar components. Extend knowledge about the advantages (and disadvantages) of individual sensors. Apply it to achieve the best performance of the overall system.
• Definition of Radar KPIs. Follow their evolution during the development and integration process.
• Definition of noise factors’ compensation required.
• Support in the definition of sensor tests, end of line calibration, and diagnostic strategies.
• Support in the implementation of sensor simulations, in the tests over the hardware and in the targeted product/ prototype vehicles. This also includes regular test drives for you as a developer in order to get the real customer feeling in our high-quality products.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 
  Degree in electrical engineering, HF engineering, physics or comparable studies.
• Min. 5 years of experience in Radar field.
• Good Knowledge in Radar physics basis and technology.
• Knowledge on the noise factors affecting automotive Radars.
• Experience in writing requirements.
• Experience in RFQ development.
• SCRUM/ Agile experience.
• Good analytical skills.
• A resilient and enthusiastic who responds constructively to new ideas and inputs.
• An individual with the ability to prioritize their workload.
• A good communicator with the ability to communicate complex ideas.
• An effective team player who supports team members.
• The role needs an individual who is highly creative and can think laterally.
• Desirable: knowledge in development of perception algorithms in the world of ADAS/ autonomous driving with Radar and fused data.
• Desirable: experience in development of software: C/C++, Python or Matlab
