VP of Logistics and Operations in Berlin bei P1 Performance Fuels GmbH

Your mission

We’re looking for a VP of Logistics and Operations to join our team. This is a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the supply chain, logistics, and operations functions within an organization. This role involves strategic planning, leadership, and hands-on operational expertise to drive continuous improvement and achieve operational excellence.

  Develop and execute the logistics and operations strategy aligned with the company's overall business goals and objectives.

• Drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer service.

• Oversee the end-to-end supply chain, including procurement, inventory management and production planning.

• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and materials.

• Manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution functions to optimize the flow of goods and minimize lead times.

• Implement best practices in route optimization, carrier selection, and inventory management.

• Build and lead a high-performing logistics and operations team..

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure reliability and quality of goods and services.

• Develop and manage the logistics and operations budget, ensuring cost control and resource optimization.

• Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain and operations.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Your profile

• Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, and operations, with at least 8 years in a leadership role in a related industry (mineral oil/gas industry)

• Experience of managing dangerous goods

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.

• Knowledge of industry-specific software and tools.
