V.I.E – Merchandising Coordinator

The V.I.E Merchandising Coordinator with a focus on Accessories will work within the Product Marketing & Merchandising Department for Cartier Northern Europe and will report to the Merchandiser Jewelry, Accessories & Fragrance. The Merchandising Coordinator will support our boutiques reopening in Berlin and Vienna, review the assortment of our new external travel retail boutique and accelerate our Accessories business by assisting with stock support and by developing new analysis/reports. The Accessories category includes leather goods, pens, objects, eyewear and textiles. The length of this V.I.E assignment is 12 months and ideally starts in March 2024, the position is based in Munich.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

Ensure Product Availability

• Close collaboration with HQ Operations and product managers for the preparation of the product launches and collection of the information about possible delays

Service to the Retail Network

• Monitor boutique stock levels/assortments & sales to determine optimal product mix, recommend and execute actions to support sales

• Build assortments by boutique; review & update based on trends, support openings

• Support sales forecasts for range & novelties

• Interact with boutiques regarding stock availability; support all requests for products

• Ensure proper product flow; share best practices for inter-boutiques transfers, guidelines on maintaining quality of the stock

Stock Management

• Monitor inventory levels vs. targets and shortages, closely monitoring one-shot creations

• Identify inventory opportunities by analyzing stock transfers & needs, propose assortment adjustments

• Monitor product life cycle and organization of the returns of the old collections

• Support PR and other departments with the accessories supply

Continuous Improvement of Processes

• Monitor monthly or weekly changes in sales trend, shortages, logistic processing, Regions/Boutiques stock, assortment and trends

• Present findings to the team and propose solutions to management

• Handle special projects and responsibilities as required. Communicate with Marketing, Corporate Retail; PR team; Warehouse; VM; Sales and Operations team

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business administration, or related field.

• 1-3 years of experience in merchandising, store planning, buying is required.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are needed.

• Strong organizational skills with excellent time management and decision making skills.

• Ability to build business strategies and plans related to inventory.
