Within the research group "Transieves" we intend to develop nanoporous materials and separation layers with new transport properties for separation applications. In order to implement transient nanopores experimentally, we investigate mesoporous, conductive ITO layers and their transport behavior under application of potential frequencies. In this context, we are looking for:
An expert in the field of transport control of nanopores, fabrication of mesoporous conductive ITO materials, characterization of transport processes by FRAP, filtration or electrochemical methods.
Requirements:
- Very good scientific university degree in chemistry or a related subject.
- Very good knowledge in the field of transient pores, FRAP and fluorescence microscopy, electrochemistry, especially impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry, sol-gel chemistry and functionalization of mesoporous materials, to transport processes in nanopores.
- Knowledge in the use of dyes or photochemical reactions or polymerizations as well as knowledge in fluid imbibition are advantageous.
- Interest in the further development and the opening up of new fields of application of technologies such as transient pores.
The ability to work in a team, outstanding skills in interdisciplinary work, a very high degree of independence, the ability develop your own ideas within the project, a very high level of motivation, a very good knowledge of English and the willingness to present your own work in an international environment and submit research proposals are desired. We expect you to coordinate your own sub-project while including all other team members.
We offer to embed you into an inspiring, collaborative team that uses the latest technologies in a highly interdisciplinary work environment which offers a wide range of opportunities for professional development.
Opportunity for further qualification (doctoral dissertation) is given. The fulfillment of the duties likewise enables the scientific qualifications of the candidate.
The Technische Universität Darmstadt intends to increase the number of female employees and encourages female candidates to apply. In case of equal qualifications applicants with a degree of disability of at least 50 or equal will be given preference.
Your full application should include a curriculum vitae, possibly a short research concept (1 page), your letter of motivation and relevant qualification certificates. Please send these documents stating the reference number to the Dean of the Chemistry Department, Prof. Dr. Gerd Buntkowsky, Peter-Grünberg-Str. 4, D-64287 Darmstadt, dekan@chemie.tu-darmstadt.de.
By submitting your application, you agree that your data may be stored and processed for the purpose of filling the vacancy. You can find our privacy policy on our webpage.
