To support our dynamic Product Engineering Team at the Nürburgring Test Centre and for an immediate start we are looking for a:

Senior Technician (f/m/d)

Key Responsibilities:
Provide engineering technician expertise for durability activity, FEU vehicles and visiting engineering teams testing prototype vehicles in Germany

Whole vehicle functional & durability test vehicle preparation and ongoing maintenance Whole vehicle hardware and software updates Vehicle road testing to diagnose fault status In depth vehicle electrical and software fault diagnosis and update using engineering tools Fabrication & machining to support development iterations to vehicle components and sub systems Measurements, inspections & reporting of vehicle system and component performance Technical feedback, fault identification & diagnosis

  Supporting on- & off-site testing in Germany and across the EU Preparation, fitment & removal of instrumentation transducers & systems Provide technical support for in market PR / media activity
• Assist with all aspects workshop health and safety conformance

Skills and Qualifications required :
Served a recognised apprenticeship in the automotive industry achieving a professional qualification (Master technician preferred)

Experience in Automotive Engineering Proficient user of recognised JLR Engineering tools - Corvus/INCA/ASL/CANALYZER Whole vehicle evaluation experience Fast and responsive - working to strict deadlines Ability to multitask and prioritize workload Strong communication skills - verbal and written Written and spoken English language on a basic technical level Ability to work on own initiative Team player - Maintain close working relationships with all other employees of the business to assist in the facilitation and delivery of testing Ability to communicate at all levels within the JLR business An individual with the capability to combine a short term, pragmatic focus with medium term planning An effective team player, actively develops and supports team members 'Can do' attitude when challenges occur
