We are looking for new employees for our parent company, Scaletech GmbH
in Potsdam:

Scaletech is a cleantech advisory firm that works for multilateral institutions, private companies, and research bodies. We focus on cleantech innovation and its global scaling through transfer and adoption to new locations in emerging and developing economies.
We provide advice on quantitative market research, financing options, go-to-market strategies, and physical redesign of aspects of the product that correspond to specific demands by users in the target market.
We closely collaborate with international cleantech centers of excellence like MIT.
Our clients have included the World Bank, the United Nations, multinational companies wishing to innovate in their deployment of green technologies, and a range of startups. As part of our vision, we are also developing a digital product, our decision analysis platform, designed to enable cleantech firms to make data-driven decisions about which international markets to prioritize for their growth.

To strengthen our international team at our Potsdam headquarters, we are looking for a full-time Backend Developer (m/f/x) as soon as possible.

Your profile

Must have

A master's or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information technologies, or similar.
Extensive experience with Laravel and PHP for web application development.
Experience using Composer for dependency management.
Expertise in cloud technologies, CI/CD Pipeline, Docker, GitHub and Laravel Sail for consistent development environments.
Strong understanding of SQL databases and data formats, including JSON and CSV with metadata.
Expertise in PostgreSQL setup, configuration, and maintenance.
Proficiency in Linux (Ubuntu) server administration for reliable and secure operations.
Experience in designing and developing high-volume data applications.
In-depth experience with REST APIs, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
Experience with planning and executing project migration across different tech stacks.
Proficiency in English.

Nice to have

Knowledge of React and front-end development.
Knowledge of AWS, Terraform, and cloud storage solutions (e.g., S3).
Experience with Python, Flask, FastAPI.

HarvestAi is a young and international startup based in Potsdam. We are leveraging our networking with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to develop a greenhouse prediction model that uses machine learning and computer vision to predict harvest dates and yields, significantly improving the procedural processes in indoor farms.
