We are currently seeking an experienced Oceanfreight Services Officer to join our dynamic Operations team in Hamburg.
This role is ideal for a professional who has strong Oceanfreight experience and is adept in handling various tasks with a focus on driving the growth ocean freight.
The candidate will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of freight within our German market & Global Trade Lanes by providing efficient and competitive
service offerings to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quoting of price requests, spot / ad.hoc business, as well as tenders
- Building a stable and professional relationship with the local sales & operations units
- Building global relationships in line with the company strategy and direction for ocean freight in Germany
- Exchange with the product and sales managers of the respective network countries regarding product portfolio and customer / market requirements
- Ensuring the highest possible level of customer satisfaction by allocating shipments to carrier contracts and timely departures
- All actions are always in line with the corporate mission statement (Toll Core Values, Policies and Guidelines)
Qualifications:
- Completed commercial Apprenticeship
- Very good command of German spelling and punctuation
- Confidence in conversation and correspondence. Open and professional interaction with customers, authorities, employees and colleagues nationally and internationally, at all levels
- Sound numerical skills in dealing with analysis and statistical tools
- Foreign language: English mandatory ("very good to good" written and spoken)
- Sound knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook)
- Solid IT skills & correspondingly professional handling of internet media
- Experienced handling of freight forwarding operational programs (preferably "Cargo Wise One")
