This career opportunity with a 3 year contract allows you to do what you do best, provide consultation, assessment and clinical counselling services to the families of members of the Canadian Armed Forces in a new and exciting location – Europe! You will continue to increase your knowledge and skills in areas such as family violence, child abuse, critical incidents, suicidal ideation and depression, marital issues, substance abuse and military lifestyle issues. As a civilian Social Worker in Europe, you will work closely with the Canadian Armed Forces and Canadian International Schools in Netherlands and Belgium as required. Additionally, you will have the unique opportunity to develop and implement and/or hone new initiatives in areas such as preventative mental health and lifestyle management, while traveling periodically to support your clients across Europe. You’ll be embraced by the close-knit community in Geilenkirchen, Germany while being able to take advantage of all Europe has to offer in terms of culture and history. This is a 3-year journey like no other in your field!

Education, Certifications and Licenses

Masters or Bachelor degree in Social Work, Counselling Psychology, or in a related field, AND some years of experience in social work, counselling or a related field.

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location with some traveling. It is a Fixed Term Employment Contract for an initial term of 3 years, with a possibility of renewal.
