We are looking for an expertModem Performance Systems Engineer with deep understanding ofwireless technology for 5G (NR) / 4G (LTE) PHY/MAC including end toend system knowledge. In this technical role, you will be at thecenter of a silicon design group responsible for physical layersystem for pioneering wireless SoC products. You will definekey-performance-indicators such as throughput, power, andcell-search. You will support system engineering teams duringdevelopment and implementation of algorithms and the verificationteams with testing and log analysis.

KeyQualifications

Deep understanding of communicationtheory & signal processing related algorithms design for 5G (NR) /4G (LTE) PHY.
Experience with modemkey-performance-indicators such as throughput, power, andcell-search. Designing performance benchmarking testsuites.
Good system-level analytics skills.Proven experience in system performance analysis role, log analysisand problem solving.
Deep understanding and hands-onexperience with end to end system performancecharacterization/testing/tuning.
Hands-on experience in working withnetwork and channel emulators, and measurement equipment(RF/IF).
Experience with Matlab, Python, C/C++ foralgorithm development and JavaScript programming, as well asdatabase knowledge (MongoDB, SQL and Tableau)

Ability to work in a team and excellentcommunication skills (English language skillsrequired).

Description

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: -You will be working closely with multi-functional teams in thecompany to analyze cellular performance. - Cellular Performanceteam is always aiming to achieve highest reliability andperformance for the next generation of Apple wireless products. -This role will require good understanding of cellular systemarchitecture and excellent knowledge in analyzing modemperformance. - Definition of key-performance-indicator tests. -Close collaboration with test teams to characterize real silicon inlab and back-annotate the results into the simulationenvironments.

Education & Experience

MS in Computer Science or Electrical/Information Engineeringwith 6+ years of working experience or PhD in relevant field with3+ years of working experience.
