We are Beiersdorf’s Data and Analytics team and establish a global data platform which provides high-quality and trustable data for standard reporting / dashboarding, self-service and data science. As an Data Engineer you concept, design, implement and support data pipelines and databases within our Azure Data & Analytics platform and/or Google platform. You will always find the balance between individual requirements and stable solutions. You are open to new technologies and see them as an opportunity to enable even deeper insights into data. You will work closely with our project leads, reporting consultants, data scientist and cloud engineers.
We work together on global projects in mixed project teams. It is important to us that everyone can contribute their experiences and concerns to discussions.
Your main tasks are:
- Design and develop data pipelines within Azure and Google tech stack
- Code advanced data processing solutions within Azure and Google tech stack
- Concept and implement relational and NoSQL database solutions within Azure and Google tech stack
- Development/code management using Azure DevOps
- Manage our data lake which stores structured, semi-structured data and unstructured data
What skills we are looking for:
- Completed studies of Business informatics or informatics or related ones
- > 4 years professional experience
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases. NoSQL is a plus
- Very good analytical and conceptual skills as well as high self-initiative
- Experience with Azure and Google tech stack and Python coding
- An understanding of the different requirements that can arise in a moving data environment
- Experience in the field of media and eComm data sources is a plus
You fit into our team with the following characteristics:
- Very good ability to work in functional and cross functional) teams
- Fluent in written and spoken English. German is a plus
- Passion for BI, Analytics and data
- Open and interested in new technologies within Data & Analytics area
