We are now building and launching the plant which will produce the Model Y for Europe from the ground up. The quality of Model Y built in Germany is one of the key milestones and a focus point in our companies’ growth. Do you want to take serious challenge within Quality Engineering and help us achieve our vision?

We are looking for Quality Engineering Intern who will support Quality Management System and Quality Program Management team.

This role can provide you the opportunity to work across many manufacturing areas and departments as we are ramping up our production operations and building the Quality Management System at lighting speed.

As part of the Quality Management System and Program Team you will be involve in tasks such as:

• Focusing the effort of the quality and operations organization on the mission critical activities
• Building the Quality Management System from the ground up
• Providing research on existing best practices and design solution for Berlin plant
• Challenge the status quo using fundamental engineering principals and develop process, methods, tools, and application which enable us to deliver the most precise cars

• Understand the scope of quality management during operations ramp up and sustainable operations
• Steer cross functional teams to maximize the value for whole organization
• Understand the Quality Management System and its value for the organization
• Design, describe and deploy quality processes, methods, tools and application
• Apply problem solving approaches to real world manufacturing problems

• Good communication skills in English (C1 level) and German (B2 level)
• Pursuing a degree in an engineering discipline (e.g. quality management, process engineering)
• Ability to adapt in fast paced and constantly changing environment
• Self starting and driven to work on the most important problems
• An analytical mindset and grounding in engineering first principals
• Extra curriculum activities as plus (Formula Student, Erasmus Exchange, Internship Experience)
• Project Management Experience as plus (PMP, Agile)
• Experience in JIRA, Confluence, and coding experience as plus (SQL, Python)
• Capable of working in a fast paced and always changing environment
• Very flexible, open to add-hoc interventions, customer first mentality
