Our Assisted and Automated Driving Development team in Munich, that develops various software modules and new technologies to enhance the driving experience whilst working towards the goal of autonomous driving, is currently seeking a:

Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• 
  Actively develop and write code for new functions and features which will be applied in prototypes and in series cars
• Use your expertise to support the POs within the decision-making process of the next steps of the development on our way to autonomous driving L3/ L4.
• Support our architects with your deep and profound knowledge.
• Use your expertise to train new colleagues on a good and efficient coding style.
• Together with your team, always re-discuss and develop a coding style which will support the code to be actively used, reused and make it reliable, secure and safe.
• Clear software architecture and solid software design as well as good software quality will be the basis of your daily work.
• Test of the implementation on simulations, the hardware and in the targeted product/ prototype vehicles. This also includes regular test drives for you as a developer in order to get the real customer feeling in our high-quality products.
• You will be one of the first to experience the latest ADAS and autonomous driving systems first-hand.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 
  University degree in Science or similar know how due to working experience
• Min. 6 years of experience in software development
• Expert in different coding languages, including their pros and cons, especially in C++, and Python.
• Deep knowledge in application of the coding principles and coding standards.
• Test driven development experience
• SCRUM/ Agile experience.
• Good analytical skills
• A resilient and enthusiastic who responds constructively to new ideas and inputs
• An individual with the ability to prioritize their workload
• A good communicator with the ability to communicate complex ideas
• An effective team player who supports team members
• The role needs an individual who is highly creative and can think laterally
