The Senior Technical Service Technician Dairy is responsible for conducting laboratory, pilot plant trials and product analysis related to on-going projects with key Dairy customers, to support the go-to- market team to grow the Dairy business within EMEA.
Core Responsibilities:
- Laboratory and Pilot Plant Trials – Plan and conduct trials in the European Dairy Pilot Plant. Support the development of solutions demonstrating ingredients functionality whilst meeting customer project brief requirements. Organise trials leveraging synergies between projects when and where possible. Proposes ideas for new concept development and opportunity for improvement.
- Product Analysis and Reporting – Evaluate customer’s products and prototypes from both from an instrumental and sensory point of view. Analyse and document test results. Produce timely reports results for on-going projects. Report on technical processability of tested solutions and be source of proposition for improvement.
- Safety Compliance – Follow and promote safe working practices using the Company Security, Safety, Health and Environment framework. Work according to our HACCP frame and ensure the EMEA Dairy Pilot Plant is in line with all our Safety and Hygiene guidelines
- Internal Collaboration – Develop strong working relationships with the go-to-market team in EMEA. Work closely with idea lab Supervisor to have a well-organized/ equipped and safe Idea Lab in good condition. Support training for the students when necessary.
- GTM Support – Support the go-to-market team with go-to-market team activities such as the preparation for customer events
Qualified candidates will have:
Mandatory requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in a Food Technology or Food Engineering discipline (or equivalent)
- Broad dairy and dairy alternatives application knowledge
- Experience in operating laboratory and pilot plant equipment
- Excellent understanding of food processing processes, equipment, and technologies, as well as the interactions of different food ingredients and ingredient systems
- Computer literacy (MS Office, etc.)
- Excellent analytical, monitoring, and reporting skills
