Software Test and Verification Engineer in Weiterstadt bei Wingcopter

• Contribute to the software testing and verification strategy including needed equipment and test environment
• Analyze software requirements and define test conditions, methods and tools
• Create and modify software test specifications based on requirements
• Develop and implement test procedures and automated testing pipelines
• Ensure documentation of testing equipment, procedure and test results
• Work closely with the development department and the software development teams (e.g. ground control software)
• This position requires on-prem work and thus cannot be fully remote

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant area as for example computer science, cybernetics, electronic / software engineering
• Good knowledge in software testing procedures
• Profound programming skills in C/C++ and at least basic knowledge in script languages (preferred python)
• Experience with testing and validation methods as for example black box and white box testing, boundary value analysis
• Experience in handling standard tools for software development (GIT, CI, etc.)
• Experience with simulation tests (Software in the Loop) as well as testing benches (Hardware in the Loop)
• Experience with network protocols (Ethernet, CAN, RS232)
• Experience with low level communication standards (UART, SPI, CAN, I2C)
• Knowledge about version control and change management tooling
• Experience with flight control systems and autopilots as for example px4 is a plus
