The divisional unit Munich Re Markets is active in the areas of bespoke balance sheet management transactions, the development and production of savings and retirement products, investment strategies, the transfer and transformation of extreme risk, and the development of new or alternative assets. The unit also manages a portfolio of possible new business models in development. In this challenging and demanding context, we are looking for a qualified individual to fill the demanding and multi-faceted position of the departmental team assistant.

Your Job

• Personal assistant to the department head
• All-around organization for the department, including:
  • planning and coordinating appointments and travel
  • telephone communication, general correspondence and welcoming visitors
  • managing documents and information
  • booking and organizing business trips and conducting expense accounting
  • preparing and following up on customer calls
  • dealing with workplace IT and business material requests
• Organizing international meetings and internal as well as external events such as offsites or conferences

Your Profile

• Professional qualification in business or financial services (Büro-, Bank- or Versicherungskaufmann/-frau) or equivalent, ideally undergraduate degree
• Several years' of relevant experience, ideally in a higher-level secretarial or assistant position in financial or professional services
• Methodological and organizational talent with reliable scheduling competencies across time zones and locations, as well as strong competence with Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to integrate into a global team and work in a dynamic environment
• Careful, consistent, and service-oriented work ethic
• Ability to work independently and with a high level of integrity and discretion
• Excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
• German strongly preferred, advanced command of written and spoken English required
