Our Team:
The non-GMP Pilot Plant Team is embedded in a global CMC development organization for products expressed in Microbial hosts. Our key expertise is the scale-up of processes including the development of innovative process solutions in pilot scale. We contribute with material supply for dossier relevant studies and key process data to bring innovative medicines to patients. We are still early in our journey, so if you are keen to pioneer new technologies and shape the future, come and join our growing team.
Main responsibilities:
- Scale-up of fermentation processes for Microbial products
- Self-reliant planning, realization and documentation of pilot scale non-GMP batches
- Implementation of new technologies and improvement of technical as well as organizational ways of working in the non-GMP pilot plant
- Characterization of equipment and processes in view of scale-up principles
- Collaborate with other functions locally and globally and contribute with technical and process expertise, e.g. during tech transfers, trouble shootings, new equipment implementation
About you
Education and professional Experience
- Master or comparable degree in Bioprocess engineering, biotechnology, biology or related fields
- Experience in bioreactor cultivations of proteins and knowledge on related scale-up principles
- Newcomers from academia are welcome
Soft skills
- Excellent team player with pronounced communication skills
- Self-driven and independent way of working
- Energized and willing to continuously learn and explore the unknown
Technical skills
- Hands-on experience with cultivation of microorganisms and/or mammalian cell culture including the respective technologies from lab to tech scale processes (shaker, wave-bags, bioreactors – disposable / non-disposable technologies, scale: 2 L - 600 L, aseptic processing)
- Characterization of fermentation equipment and processes
- Experience with digitalization and/or implementation of new technologies is a plus
Languages
- German (B2-C Level) and English
