This is an exciting opportunity to join Accelera by Cummins eMobility team at the start of projects which will serve as basis for the new family of traction systems. Working in the eMobility team will expose you to all areas of electric vehicles.
Accelera by Cummins is looking for an ambitious and motivated Base Software Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team in Nürnberg .
Your tasks:
- Investigate product software problems, understand causal mechanisms, recommend appropriate action, own problem resolution, and document results
- Improvement of product software development processes and tools
- Obtain input and negotiate with product and software development teams and deliver verified software features, components
- Use systems knowledge and expertise to make decisions in the areas of software requirements, architecture, design, and test
- Review of less-experienced developers/testers’ work to ensure robust, reusable, and efficient designs
Your profile:
- Completed university degree in technical field or equivalent qualification
- Experience in Automotive SW Verification & Validation, including developing Requirements-based tests, Black-box tests, Fault-injection tests, etc.
- Familiarity with Automotive Communication Protocols: CAN, UDS, DoCAN
- Some experience with Requirements Management tools: DOORS, Polarion
- Familiarity with HIL test systems and debugging tools
- Strong German and English skills, with ability to work in intercultural teams
- Additional skills include experience with microcontroller architecture and programming, knowledge of Functional Safety Standards, familiarity with AUTOSAR, proficiency in Embedded C/C++ Development, and hands-on experience with lab equipment.
