A Snapshot of Your Day
You will drive the development and implementation of Factory Digital Twins, supporting the Process Digitalization Team for Grid Technologies within our Siemens Energy organization. Within the program for Digitalization of Production and Processes you will be in direct contact with the factories within the Manufacturing Network and implement solutions for Factory Digital Twin Simulation (FDTS).
You will be responsible to build value out of available data sources by deploying data analytics methods, models, algorithms, and visualizations. You will offer and transfer those solutions to the manufacturing locations with the goal to extract business relevant insights as a foundation for management reporting, transparency and decision making for sustainable growth. As a successful candidate you will demonstrate the ability to drive complex, cross- functional strategic initiatives that impact the planning, organization, and implementation of our product portfolio to the market world-wide.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Development and maintenance of Factory Digital Twin Core in Tecnomatix Plant Simulation environment
- Structured analysis and management of requirements directly with the factories related to the Digital Twin functionalities
- Definition and Implementation of a Key Performance Indicators Dashboards
- Understanding, modelling and deployment of the behavioural logic, constraints, as well interdependencies in a domain of the factory shopfloor
- Elicitation of data, definition of data structures with the factories about the Products, Process and Resources (PPR)
- Development of ETL-Pipelines (Extraction, Transformation and Loading) as an input data to the Factory Digital Twin Shell and further data analytics
- Development of methods and algorithms for optimization of manufacturing processes
- Contribution in the optimization of the whole flow of data, values, and processes within the Business Area with the goal of transparent, data-driven, agile and efficient organisation
What You Bring
- Successful university degree in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or similar
- Profound understanding and experience in production, product structures and manufacturing processes and technologies
- Experience and working knowledge with modelling and discrete event simulation as well as description and evaluation of scenarios with Tecnomatix Plant Simulation
- Experience and working knowledge with development of ETL-Pipelines in Alteryx as well as development of dashboards for data analytics and visualisation
- Extensive experience in programming (e.g. Python, C++) and in development of databases and queries (SQL)
- Experience in development and application of AI-Algorithms as well es Knowledge of development and usage of 3D models in CAD-environment (e.g. NX, AutoCAD) is advantageous
- Proficiency in English and knowledge of German is preferable
- Readiness to travel globally, visiting the factories and organizing workshops within a large, complex, and global network of factories
