Job Description
The Senior Operational Technology and Infrastructure Engineer role will play an integral part in the Global IT organization and is a hands-on role. The position will report to the Global IT Vice President, this role is to enhance the maturity and practices in the Operations area, while ensuring the supporting infrastructure functions smoothly.
You need to bring in best practices, to develop and implement improvements, to build a collaborative relationship with the operations and manufacturing teams globally. You will be agile, proactive, comfortable working with ambiguous specifications and can prioritize quickly and effectively.
- Be a key member of the Global IT team responsible for the support and efficient performance, and maintenance of industrial equipment in Frankfurt.
- Contribute to the design of, and responsible for the execution of the strategy for long term reliability of Operational Technologies.
- Work with the global Operations, Logistics and Quality Assurance groups to improve the Operational Technology component’s resilience.
- Improve documentation, and educate the rest of the IT group.
- Develop standards, which when tested, will be deployed globally if appropriate.
- Support the operations teams with change control, including hardware replacements, software upgrades (OS and third party applications).
- Lead improvement activities to ensure compliance with policies etc. and applicable laws and regulations.
- Offer advice on strategic direction to the global VP IT.
- Work with the other members of IT to identify sensitive and critical data, data classifications, and develop procedures to accommodate those classifications.
- Enhance, document, and maintain Business Continuity and Disaster Recover protocols and testing regimes.
- Ensure Operational Technology mitigation plans and tests are implemented and followed.
- Other duties assigned to ensure the proper functions of the team & meet business needs as identified.
- As a senior member of the regional team, you will also be expected to support the regional helpdesk and infrastructure members
- Undergo all formal Training Events as may be Directed from time-to-time.
- Observe and Comply with all Sirtex Corporate Policies.
- Work within, and ensure adherence to Quality System procedures, work instructions and other Quality System requirements.
- Work within, and ensure adherence to Health, Safety and Environment, Management System procedures, instructions and other requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience, with recent focus on operational technologies.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (clients and servers).
- Solid knowledge of the current Microsoft stack, including O365, Azure and Identity Management.
- Knowledge of Visual C#.
- Experience with Windows Deployment Services (WDS) would be beneficial.
- Experience of working in a global organization with distributed teams.
- Superior analytical, critical thinking and quantitative skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to navigate through various levels of detail, demonstrating flexibility to dive into details as well as think big picture.
- Excellent time management and project management skills.
- Familiarity with Medical device or FDA compliant field.
- Familiarity with SAP, Salesforce, or other Enterprise systems.
- Fluent in English and German
