Assistant Accountant - Germany

Reporting to Accounting & Tax Manager, DE
Following our International Finance department expansion, Mindray Germany is searching for a high calibre, target driven, and results orientated Assistant Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be involved in the finance and accounting in our German subsidiary, you will have a background in Accounts Receivable or an Assistant Accountant role and be keen to join a dynamic team supporting the growth and development of Mindray Germany.
What you’ll be doing:
Accounts Receivable:
- Daily control of bank statement, allocation of cash receipts from customer
- Monitoring customer accounts and clear if necessary
- Point of contact for the customer
Credit management:
- Performing credit control procedures on new accounts and annual review on established accounts
- Maintain relevant documentation
- Assisting preparation of overdue AR customers for local collection in German
- Review customers’ credit limits and accounts
- Send monthly statements or dunning letters
- Issues escalation or final notice letters
General Responsibilities:
- Assist Preparation and completion of month end financial reporting to be reviewed by European Finance Department
- Assist preparation of VAT and EC Intra community returns
- Assist preparation of reports and statistical data detailing financial results that meets the requirements from local management
- Maintain accounting practices to ensure data necessary for business operations is accurate and reliable
- Assisting the audit process and preparing reports (accounting and tax) that comply with local statutory requirements assisted by PWC/Mazars
- Assist control and approval of company policies e. g. expenses, capital expenditure etc.
- Assist budget and cost controls and financial analysis
- Assist the coordinating with Shared Service Department in China who complete accounting processes for German Finance
- Ad hoc duties to support EU Finance Management/Reports for headquarters/finance projects
Who we’re looking for?
- Background in Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable or Assistant Accountant role
- SAP experience is highly beneficial
- Most important for this role is behaviours, we are looking for a focused, resilient, and methodical thinker with a ‘can-do’ approach to challenges keen to be part of a business in exponential growth and recognizing the opportunities that can bring
- Fluent written and spoken German and English
- You will require the right to work in Europe without company sponsorship
