Development Engineer Automotive in Essen bei RHEINMETALL AG

• Development of BLDC blowers for use in the engine compartment of motor vehicles
• Definition of the requirements of the control electronics and the BLDC motor design with the technical department
• Interpretation of CAE simulation results (FEM, CFD, MatLab) with regard to the design and function of the blowers
• Creation of requirement specifications and specifications
• Procurement and control of samples (A, B, C samples)
• Support of the customer on site in the application
• Supervision of FMEA's, control plans and drawing verification
• Responsibility for the product groups: secondary air blowers, valves and systems
• Support of worldwide customer projects (Europe, NAFTA, Asia)

• Completed studies in the field of electronics or electrical engineering
• At least 5 years of responsible professional experience in development, preferably in the automotive sector
• Mechatronics know-how, especially of electric motors (DC and BLDC)
• Knowledge of APQP and QA standards such as 8D documentation
• Very good technical understanding
• Independent working style, high degree of self-responsibility and goal orientation
• Distinct ability to work in a team
• Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
• Willingness to travel
