Our compensation package: €50,000 - €55,000 yearly salary, up to €20,000 in equity. Additionally up to €5,000 p.a. in company benefits.
Work model: Hybrid in Munich or remote in Germany; however, traveling to Munich occasionally will be required
Your role
You shape Orbem’s financial processes and secure compliance with best practices. You work closely with the Director of Finance and our more than 100 people to define, establish and execute our financial processes to make sure we continue on our mission to unleash AI-powered imaging for everything and everyone. Your openness to new topics and deep willingness to learn in all areas of finance support our growth based on the Series A funding of more than EUR 30 million. Our aim is to enable you to gain insights into all aspects of Finance at Orbem including, but not limited to accounting, tax, controlling, treasury, processes and systems we use such as Spendesk and Netsuite to prepare you for taking full ownership of one or several of these aspects after 2 to 3 years at Orbem.
Your day-to-day
Your responsibilities as a Finance Trainee will include:
Supporting daily operations in all Finance areas and taking responsibility for such areas after successful onboarding
Making suggestions to improve existing processes, procedures and documentation after being onboarded on these tasks and executing these suggestions
Support special projects such as the entry into new markets through the creation of subsidiaries or implementation of new financial systems
Financial analysis of Orbem operations to support effective decision-making
Experience / Skills
Successful completion of a master’s degree in a discipline related to finance and/or accounting, as well as strong academic performance
Minimum of one internship in finance and accounting
You leverage your critical thinking and analytical skills in decision-making
Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and project management skills, e.g., leadership in school or student organization
A strong display of teamwork, adaptability, innovation, initiative, and integrity
Ability to work in a collaborative team setting
Willing to assist in developing solutions to tackle problems and achieve outcomes
Ability to review own performance and progression to learn from successes and setbacks
Proficient knowledge and experience using standard Google and Microsoft tools
You are fluent in German and English
You are an excellent communicator
Multiple internships in finance or finance-related areas
Initial experience with daily finance tasks, e.g. handling of transactions within ERP systems
