Chair of Micro- and Nanosystems and Institute of Materials in Electrical Engineering
The activities of the Institute of Materials of Electrical Engineering 1 (IWE 1) in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at RWTH Aachen University focus on technologies in the field of micro- and nanosystems for biomedicine and biotechnology as well as for environmental sensors and Industry 4.0 applications. The main activities lie in the coupling of biological components (e.g. living cells, antibodies, DNA) to technical systems, including the development of "intelligent" neuroimplants and prostheses as well as microfluidic systems for biotechnology, environmental sensors and biomedical diagnostics.
- Currenty enrolled in the Electrical Engineering, Material Sciences, Biomedical Engineering or a comparable degree program

- MEA chip encapsulation in the clean room of IWE1:
- Attach microfluidic tubes to the chips
- Operate flip-chip bonder
- Fill glass ring with silicone (PDMS)
- Electronic characterisation of packaged chips:
- Perform electrical impedance spectroscopy
The successful candidate will be employed as a student assistant.
The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date and offered for a fixed term up to September 30, 2025.
This is a part-time contract position.
The standard weekly hours will be 8 hours.
Flexible working hours are possible by arrangement.
The salary is based on the RWTH Guidelines for Student and Graduate Assistants.
The position corresponds to a pay grade of 13.25 € per hour.
