We are looking for an Intern in chromatography modeling who is passionate about applying and advancing a world leading simulation software for the development of biopharmaceutical production processes to join our team in Karlsruhe, Germany. You will be working together with the GoSilico team in Karlsruhe, Germany, and the Bioprocess R&D team in Uppsala Sweden. Specifically, you will develop and showcase new algorithms for model-based purification development for our international customers in the area of Biopharma research, development and manufacturing.
What you’ll do - Performing research in the field of model-based bioprocess development
- Find algorithmic solutions for mechanistic model creation and qualification
- Perform prototyping in C++, Python, Matlab or similar
- Work on case studies for different modalities of chromatographic separation and various molecule formats
Who you are - Master's degree in biotechnology, bioprocess/biomedical engineering, physics, applied mathematics or related sciences
- In depth knowledge of downstream process development, chromatography, resins and protein analytics
- A solid experience and understanding of mathematic models and physical/chemical fundamentals
- Proficient in English (oral and writing)
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: - Mechanistic modeling of chromatography or related separation technologies
