The candidate will use in vivo models and various in vitro biochemical and cell biological approaches to gain insights into the role of proteases in the pathogenesis of allergic contact dermatitis and the interaction between the stroma and the immune system.
You will plan, conduct, and analyze in vivo and in vitro experiments.
You will present your scientific results at national/international meetings and be involved in publication in peer-reviewed journals.
- University master's degree/diploma in natural sciences.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Have a high commitment, flexibility, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Experience in standard laboratory techniques.
- The candidate will be actively involved in mouse work; previous experience is desirable but not mandatory.
The DFG funds the position, and the project's primary focus is to understand at a molecular level how fibroblast-derived metalloproteinase modulates acquired immune responses in the skin.
The research project is a joint venture of the group of Dr. Zigrino and Prof. Dr. Mario Fabri.
