In this semiconductor fab engineer role within Texas Instruments worldwide manufacturing organization, you will be responsible for engineering process optimization efforts to achieve fab cycle time goals. You will interact with various departments, in addition to yield, product and integration teams, to resolve issues that limit yield performance and output.
In this position you will be exposed to significant development and transfer projects that include the start-up, automation and engineering of semiconductor processes on production equipment. As a manufacturing process engineer you will focus on wet chemistry surface preparation while being part of TI’s worldwide TMG (“Technology & Manufacturing Group”) and worldwide process community, where you can broaden your experiences and grow your expertise.
Responsibilities include:
- Identify improvement potential regarding quality, cost savings and throughput within a 24/7 manufacturing environment
- Project and time management that results in the timely execution of actions to implement these improvements
- Analyze, evaluate and present engineering data to support process changes and resolve tool issues
- Determine limits and variables for process specifications to guarantee appropriate process control
- Provide supervision and trainings to technicians and manufacturing specialists and create action plans
- Generate progress reports on tools, processes and goals on site and on worldwide level
- Manage priorities regarding daily business operations and engineering projects
- Support multidisciplinary teams on site but also worldwide level and build collaborative relationships
- Work with equipment vendors to sustain and enhance equipment performance from both a process and tool standpoint
Minimum requirements:
- Master degree or similar education level in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Microelectronics, Microsystems technology or similar fields
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in German and English - B2 level or better
- Willingness to work inside a cleanroom for some extent
Preferred qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in a cleanroom/semiconductor environment
- Experience with semiconductor manufacturing and especially wet chemistry processes
- Strong presentation and time management skills
- Experience with worldwide collaboration teams
